You use of poppets is superlative.
I especially liked the knob for the water spout functioning a s a time machine, or am I getting it wrong? It is beautiful nevertheless, I always liked those knobs. I immediately thought of those summer days when we were so hot and we finally found a knob that existed. In our apartment complex, the maintenance men took most of the knobs off so the kids couldn't play with the water spouts. Since they were so rarely on, they were like magic.
