It's a shame that paper doesn't hold moving video images yet -you could actually make confetti pieces of Kyaanisqatsi falling slowly and then timelapse their disintegration into mulch. Then something crazy and colorful could germinate in the mulch, then be cut up and made into it's own kind of confetti. That would also be cool and more than a little accurate.
I think I will opt for a simpler attempt at koyaanisconfetti though.
